Tzur Gadassi

DMD, MSc - Certified Specialist in Orthodontics

Dr. Liat loves every aspect of Orthodontics.

She is fascinated by the professional challenges, the ongoing research and development in Orthodontics and the long-term impact Orthodontics has on a patients’ quality of life and self-esteem.

Dr. Liat is a Certified Specialist in Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopaedics and is an active member of the Canadian, American & Israeli Associations of Orthodontics as well as the Pacific Coast Society of Orthodontists.

She also teaches future orthodontists in the graduate program at UBC.

Dr. Liat spends her quality time with her husband and children. She is passionate about ballet and live theatre, loves the beautiful landscapes of BC and is always interested in knowing where she can find your favourite ice cream flavours. Her favourite color is bright pink, to match her positive and warm personality!

Shannon

As a treatment coordinator, Shannon works closely with families to plan your orthodontic journey and ensure you have all the information needed to make the best decision for yourself, or your child. She understands not only the clinical perspective of orthodontics but as a parent and former braces patient herself, she can speak on her personal experiences as a child and can prepare you for what to expect during your orthodontic transformation!

Shannon completed her Certified Dental Assisting course at West Coast College of Healthcare in 2007, graduating top of her class with the Award of Overall Excellence as well as the Award of Excellence from the Certified Dental Assistants of BC before completing her Orthodontic training at UBC in 2009. She also participates in Dental Outreach trips to help provide dental care to kids in underserved remote areas.

In her personal life, Shannon enjoys spending time with her husband and daughter, travelling and experiencing other cultures. She grew up as a competitive Horseback rider in the Hunter/Jumper world, and looks forward to having time to get back into it in the future!
